Relationship of Shoulder Flexibility, Strength, and Endurance to Shoulder Pain in Competitive Swimmers

A common complaint of competitive swimmers is shoulder pain. The purposes of this study were to: 1) provide normative data on shoulder flexibility in swimmers, 2) determine if a correlation exists between shoulder flexibility and pain, and 3) determine the correlation between strength and endurance ratios to shoulder pain.

Simple Golf Stretches and Postural Tips

Golf injuries are caused primarily by repetitive overuse, poor physical conditioning, lack of appropriate warm-up and technical swing errors. According to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), awareness of proper posture and the importance of fitness and flexibility are just as important for weekend golfers as they are for the pros. Below are a few stretches and tips to take into consideration before hitting the golf course.
